About Me

My photo
Tim Fitzgerald
I was Born in St. Louis and moved to San Francisco in 1998. I have a background in sports broadcasting (Mass Communications Saint Louis University '98, public access play-by-play and interviews, KPLR-TV intern, Fox Sports production-truck producer cohart, etc). But I was a health journalist for nine and half years, editing and writing award-winning, print and video, and managing content for a series of health websites. After almost 10 years in that field with the dot-com I joined in 2000, I am back in sports journalism. My work put an emphasis on the minds inside the helmets, the heart under the numbered uniforms, and the substance behind the statistics, as stats are a good guide or a place to start, but do not tell the whole story. I'm more "Three Nights in August," but have a touch of "Moneyball." I am an avid fan of my team, but am also very realistic when it comes to their flaws I'm also a semi-retired, semi-pro rapper, and am currently building www.thefitzblitz.com
